Task one
Produce a presentation of no less than 5 minutes describing the production process from a specific sector in the creative industries.
1. Identify and discuss the processes involved in the creation and management of a performance event making a case study reference to a specific event.
2. Evaluate the contextual factors that have directly influenced the development and production process – this may include budgets, legislation, historical and cultural facets.
Script outline and generating ideas
In this activity I learnt about the stages of script proposals and using my own ideas wrote premises, log line, synopsis and step outline for each idea.
As the weeks went on and we learnt about further steps in the screenwriting process the document was edited to reflect the changes made to my initial pitch
Character archetypes
To help us better understand the characters and their motivations in our scripts we researched Vladimir Propp's common archetypes and applied them to a film of our choice.
Researching a job in the creative industries
As part of our preparation for this course we set out to research a job in the creative industries that we would like to pursue looking at factors such as necessary qualifications & career progression etc
